There are a lot of companies and video-game manufacturers coming up with various brain games to improve the sharpness of your brain and increase its compatibility and its cognitive function. A brain is a very complicated thing. So, as every other thing in this world, the brain should be used frequently and should be strained occasionally for it to be sharp and function effectively. A lot of things should be practiced frequently for the brain to be accustomed to them or else the brain becomes inactive in that region. For example, if you don’t do the mathematical calculations like addition, subtraction frequently, there are chances that the brain might lose its ability to perform the task quickly and give exact results or to suddenly recall the obvious combinations. With the brain games, the mind is continuously kept at work or everyday duties and memory tasks. This way your memory recall time will improve. Thus these games can be called as good memory supplements. And that’s the reason why these games are so popular these days. But, it should be considered that the brain games are not the sole reason for the overall health and the physical and mental fitness. 




  Everybody should understand that, only that part of the brain will remain active which you will train the most and use consistently. Like, for example, if you are practicing and using the mathematical equations and dealing with them almost daily, the logic and reasoning part of your brain becomes active and strong. That is the reason, if you are a cab driver, you know exactly where a given address is located and where exactly is a certain place. And the area of the brain which deals with the spatial abilities also increases. And if you are a physics teacher, you are good at logic and reasoning and in the same way, if you are a football player, the area of your brain which deals with the speed and time (in this case, of the approaching ball) and the area which helps in mind-body co-ordination will be active. So, sometimes the daily works you do can also act as memory supplements.

Most of the parents feel, video games are a waste of time and energy but they have a lot of effect on the brain of the kid. They help various parts of the brain to work and make them active. They not only help in the memory and reasoning of the player but also improve the mind and body co-ordination. These games are not only for kids. Any one of any age group can play them. They act as good memory supplements and provide all the necessary exercise to the brain. Ofcourse one should not let these games be their lifelong learning partners at the same time you can’t totally discard them. Self-improvement is must and beneficial for everyone at any stage of life.
